How long have you been racing and what got you started?

I have been racing for 8 years year, I started when I was 16. I have had a few bikes when I was younger and just rode some trails but didn’t have a race bike till I was 14 and the I spent my first year riding a lot at gopher dunes on the track. Once I got better I was able to a year end race with TVR and that gave me the bug to want to race a full season and I've been going since!

What's your goals for the 2024 season?

My goals for 2024 so far are to get out to do as much riding and racing as I can and get out to as many TVR races as well as some events over in New York State.

What's your favourite TVR Track?

My favourite track has to be Auburn hills, they have an incredible track that really offers a unique variety of soil, speed and some elevation. I really look forward to going back this year.

What's your favourite thing about the TVR Series or a favourite memory from a TVR Race?

I think my favourite part about TVR has also been how nice and friendly everyone always is at the races. People always are will to help out each other when there is a problem or someone has bike issues. I started racing with TVR as the first club I join and it didn’t take very long to meet new people and become friends with the people I was racing with.

In your option what's the most difficult part of this sport?

Motocross has a lot of challenges between, time, cost, skills, being in shape and the mental/ emotional aspect of it. I would have to say the physical part of it is one of the big things in this sport, anyone can get on a bike and ride a few laps but it takes a lot to go out there and ride for 15-20 straight as hard as you can and to try to consistently hit your marks. As well you need to be in shape for even when things don't go as planed, that you body will handle and take less injury when you do have a crash.

What is something you have learned from riding and racing motocross?

A big thing I learned from motocross has been responsibility, as it was always up to me to wash/ clean my bike and do any maintenance that was needed to make sure we didn’t have any mechanical problems or failure when we race. I always had to make sure my gear or any tool or parts we needed for the weekend got packed up in the trailer as I always knew what I would do.  Something important I leaned as well was changing tires, it’s something that takes time and patience that is important to know as you may have a flat tire and can’t always get someone else to change it or fix it on a busy race day.

What other sports or activities do you do when your not at the track?

Out side of motocross I’m pretty big into cars. We try to make it out to a couple car meets and shows a year local to us. As well as spending time around the house with my wife and our 3 month old boy!

Who's your favorite Rider and why?

I would say my favourite rider would be Dylan Wright, he’s a excellent and very talented racer. I was very fortunate in my time as a mechanic at gopher dunes to get the chance to know Dylan as a person out side of just the track and had some fun times and Really get to know him more then just meeting him at a pro event.

What the most Insane & Reckless thing you have ever done?

I The craziest thing I probably have gotten the chance to do was go hiking up one of the Volcanos with my wife in Hawaii and snorkeling.

Thanks for letting us get to know you Jason! Do you have anyone you would like to thank?

I would like to first of all thank my wife and family for all the help and support they give with my racing as well as all the time spent away at the track and getting things ready in the week.

I would like to thank Mike at MP1 suspension for many years now of continued support!

FXR/ 6D for helmets and gear, Xtreme Toys London for parts and service, OG optics and our trainer Jeff at the gym!
